Bistro Lancaster is a cozy, genteel restaurant. It's located in the elegant Lancaster Hotel,
a downtown landmark. Situated in the heart of the theater district, Bistro Lancaster is a prime spot to dine before an evening of the
arts. The intimate dining room has the look of a room in an English manor with deep green walls, botanical prints and a handsome bar.
Chef Mark Riley menu features creative American Bistro with touches of the Mediterranean flair.
Appetizers include a delicious Grilled Lamb Meatballs with taziki sauce; a Carpaccio of Serrano Ham; and Blue Lip Mussels. Main course
choices include Seared Blue Crab Cake, Rosemary Pork Loin and Tomato and Fennel Stuffed Trout. Those are good, but the Medallions of Black
Angus Tenderloin in a masala sauce is a stand-out. For dessert, we recommend the bread pudding, a warm, dreamy mass covered in a crème
fraîche and caramel sauce studded with dried candied cherries with a fig coulis underneath. The service is sharp, making Bistro Lancaster
a fine choice for a quiet breakfast meeting, a pleasant midday respite from the office as well as pre-theater dining.
